Ravenswood Talent Initiative (RTI)

High quality teaching is the most important school-based factor affecting student achievement, yet Ravenswood teacher salaries are ~30% below neighboring districts and 40% leave RCSD within the first five years of teaching.

The NEED

A history of below market compensation has hindered RCSD from an effective talent strategy & student outcomes .

The OPPORTUNITY

A 10% initial raise immediately closes the gap with neighboring districts. Effective teachers have the opportunity for accelerated progress on the salary scale based on results from the annual evaluation. A $15.4M campaign will provide annual funding for up to 5 years.

The Ravenswood Talent Initiative is a public-private partnership providing bridge funding until RCSD can sustain the increased cost through long term property leases.
