BOOKS will be in the Guild limelight as we gather for an entertaining book talk by local literary celebrity Kimberly Ford Chisholm in support of the Literacy Challenge. Kimberly will use Lucia Berlin’s ultra-compelling A Manual for Cleaning Women to help you learn how to get the most out of everything you read.

About Kimberly
Kimberly Ford Chisholm is a celebrated author, best known for her book Hump: True Tales of Sex After Kids. Her short story “Generation” earned critical acclaim as a finalist for an O. Henry Prize. Kimberly’s career has been multifaceted—she has taught at the high school and university levels, worked as an editor, and shared her expertise as a lecturer.
Her academic journey is equally impressive, with degrees from Dartmouth, the University of Pennsylvania, and a Ph.D. from UC Berkeley. She also pursued an MFA at the Bennington Writing Seminars. Currently based primarily in California, Kimberly brings a wealth of experience and insight to every conversation. We’re excited to have her join our Book Club Event for what promises to be an enlightening discussion!
